I know a lot of people whom don't see the worth of going to church.
Church was never meant to be made into a chore.. i feel like many people who attend church feel like by going there sins are gone from them.. and they have to go to be able to repent.. yet that is a good idea but not the truth..
i guess you could say its a step in the right direction??
i see over and over again people come and people go, especially in the bigger churches where it is very hard for anyone but God alone to notice that you where there.
people see this as a way to go in and go out and to say "well i went to church today.. check that of my to do list.. "
you get refreshed and then the next day your back to same old routine.
now what would be gained by that??
nothing.. church is a place to go to worship and praise God alone... its a time to commune with other believers so that you can talk about your thoughts on God and get feed back on issues, maybe to share miracles to grow others faith..
This is such a huge part of the growing process, reading your bible or "my time with God" is GREAT!! you can grow and that is where the power is.. but its hard to comprehend and understand everything on your own..
this is why God made others in this world to grow with and learn with. we are all learning every day of are lives if we are open to it we learn something new everyday..
once you stop learning you stop living.
what a change it has made in my life to start communicating with other Christ followers rather then others who dont follow the Lord, while talking to others about God is great.. its hard to get the feed back and support you need by those who are not following a close walk with Jesus Christ.
for those that see church as just something to do to make your self feel good.. i encourage you next time you go to church to get involved, even just to talk to some one new you havent before..
it will change the way you look at church and maybe even bless someone elses life as well!!
Dont we as Christ followers want to shine the light of the Lord out onto others??
